Liberated Learning,
Learning for Liberation

 in Oakland, California

“We cannot keep using tools of oppression and expect to raise free people.” - Akilah Richards

Liberated Kids is a community that is committed to providing a self-directed educational (SDE) environment for children and families in unceded Ohlone land, aka Oakland, that cultivates holistic growth, where children lead their own learning journeys and embrace their authenticity. On our path to collective liberation, we strive to be a safe and inclusive space where BIPOC, QT-BIPOC and BIPOC neurospicy voices and experiences are centered with engaged facilitators, families and community members as guides and co-learners.

We are endeavoring to decolonize childhood and allow our children to be their full selves.

Our goal is to be a transformative, trauma-informed, inclusive and reflective self-directed learning community.

We provide an environment for curiosity, playfulness, and other natural ways of learning to flourish... where we can feel liberated!
